So last Monday, we went to Port Stanley. It was a surprise PA day, and since I could not speak, had to email Ryan to come home – no way to do three kids when you cannot talk. They were making up car games as we were driving, on of them was ‘buying’ stuff when you saw it – and only if you were the first one to claim it.
“Mailbox! I’ll buy it!”
“No! That’s my mailbox.”
“Na-uh! I saw it first!”
(meanwhile have passed five more mailboxes)
They bought trees, boats for daddy’s birthday, mailboxes, cars, bushes…
Then Paigey must have thought it was annoying (too) and decided that they had enough stuff and were not buying anything anymore, cause they were just arguing about it. Pretty sure Meredith was already asleep at that point. Five/Ten minutes later Paigey sees a butterfly, “Butterfly, I’ll buy it!” Charlotte yells at her, that we aren’t buying anything any more. But Paigey says that they can each have one more thing, and hers is a butterfly. And no, house are too big…
Charlotte loves this game and buys mailboxes all the time, even when it is just me and her in the car. (completely unaware of postal strike?)
Today, dropping P and C off at daycare, C buys another mailbox…
“Mailbox! I’ll buy it!”
Paigey plays along…
“Jesus! I’ll buy it!”
